Holiday's can be so pleasant or so stressful, depending on which side of the fence you choose to stand on. One of the most freeing lessons in life is learning that we all have the choice of which side of the fence we stand on. This is demonstrated well in the story about the little boy who receives a pony for Christmas, does he see the pony or the manure?
With the expectations of the holiday's we should really look closely and see where the expectations are coming from, are they coming from others or from ourselves. Everything that we experience with others is a direct reflection of where we are, where we stand and what is going on in our heads and hearts.
So if we find ourselves in a stressful situation over the holiday's we can step back and ask ourselves "where am I?", " where do I want to be?", then see ourselves already there. This will help to change outer situations to better suit your inner expectations of yourself and your reality.
Stones that will really help with that are garnet, kyanite and sunstone.
Garnet will help bring in security and grounding that will allow you to see the expectations for what they really are, Self-imposed. When one experiences plenty of security, stability and being well grounded it is much easier to see the reflections of ourselves in others and how that is effecting our reality.
Kyanite brings in the transformation of being able to really get out of what is and into what will be. When we are too wrapped up in looking at things the way they are instead of the way we want them to be then it is difficult to turn those situations into what we want them to be, Kyanite instills within us a fast paced transforming quality that allows us to move with the flow and like it, it allows us to see one step ahead and maneuver in the direction we want to go.
Sunstone is such a happy stone that it brings in the joy that helps us to find what it is that we want, it helps us to define clearly where we want to be emotionally as well as physically. Once we know where the joy is and how good it feels then we will suddenly attract more of that.
When one uses these three stones together the possibilities are endless, the synergy of this mix truly allows one to feel secure in themselves and their ability to transform into the joyous being that we all are.

Working with blue apatite today, interesting stone.....most books say that it is all about the third eye but I am really seeing that it is about connection of the third eye and throat energy. Communication of your intuition and allowing yourself the understanding of the feelings that you get in particular situations.
Nice gemmy quality seems to clear the connection a little better then the tumbled opaque version. A very cooling and soothing energy allowing for more flow in communication as a whole and more interpretation of intuitive hits.
Good stone for those of us that may be a little off when around alot of other people due to empathy issues, helping to sort out who's feelings are who's.
