Fire, the element, understand the elements role in your life

Fire is the element associated with the Solar Plexus. In the ancient Vedic texts, Agni has 3 forms, fire, lightening and the sun.

Fire has been an integral part of civilization, in all cultures and religions. Fire can provide light and warmth for us as well as heat to cook our food upon. Fire can smolder and suddenly burst into flames, showing us it’s impulsiveness and unpredictability. Fire is a double edged sword, where we must have the heat from the sun in order to survive, that same heat will destroy us if we find ourselves too close to it.

It is seen as the force burning inside us, giving us the willpower to go for our goals,  allowing us to find the passion that sustains us on our journey to the prize. Fire is the element that sparks and grows with fuel, when we feel that spark ( a desire) and we feed it ( with passion) we are able to use the fire element to push us onward towards our goals.

The Dance of Shiva

Within the Hindu Pantheon, Shiva is known to be ‘the destroyer’, or transformer, god of death. Husband to Parvati ( a version of Kali), Shiva is depicted as an aesthetic, he lives as a sage at Mount Kailash. Shiva is also said to be the ‘lord of time’ and one who grants many wishes for his devotees. He is also regarded as the most powerful god in hinduism, as well as being associated with the Rudra in the vedic tradition, god of the storm.
If we look at what destruction really is, we see that it can be seen as the first part of creation. Without the clearing of old structures, new ones cannot be placed.
Within the older vedic texts, Shiva is known as fierce but around 800 bc a great philosopher, named Shankaracharya revealed that shiva not only destroyed, but was also a great benefactor to those effected by his destruction. He reasoned that the energy of shiva was not to be avoided and feared, however embraced and consciously directed for the purpose of change within ones environment.

Ganesha

How do you feel when you look at a picture or statue of Ganesha? That is how your root chakra wants to feel.
There are hundreds of parallels that can be made between ganesha and the root chakra, we will focus on just a few.
Ganesha is traditionally known to be the ‘obstacle breaker’. Mantras are said to Ganesha to help remove obstacles, blockages or anything that might be in your path.
My personal experience in working with this energy is ‘creating without obstacles’. The path that I found most effective when using this energy was creating my reality without the obstacles in the first place.

Douglas Diamonds don't demand Blood

Road Trip!
Off to collect 'field diamonds'

So I heard of a super secret that rock hounds have in the Southeast area of the United States. I heard that there is a place that it accessible only a few months out of the year, where you can walk along the shores and pick up little shiny quartz points. The area is known for its 'beta' shaped quartz- that means they look like octahedron's, and elestial smoky points. Most of the stones found there are smaller than a dime, but beautifully shaped, fantastic clarity and they are found right on top of the ground! No digging required!
Sounds like a rock hounds dream huh? That is exactly what I thought as Joshua and I discussed preparations for our collecting trip. Two years later we finally made it to the super secret spot where the shores sparkle with little 'field diamonds'. You know, if it took two years to build up for us, it had to be one 'hum-dinger' of a road trip, and we weren't disappointed.

Celestite is a stone that interacts with our third eye in a unique and groundbreaking new way. Generally we think of the angelic realm when we think of celestite, or we think of how we are able to connect to the best of those that have crossed over. But my experience with celestite has been that it is a stone that reflects the symbolism of the lotus. The lotus shows us a true gem that comes out of the mud. celestite shows us that within the worst of our creations is a true gem waiting to be found and washed up.
Celestite is a stone that shows us that the gem could not form without the mud. This shows us that all of the things we think are wrong with us, all of the issues we see within ourselves are truly our very best resources. The vibration of this stone shows us how to use those things that we see as our worst, or most negative aspects to our own advantage when we are creating our reality.

Crystaliscious Perspective on Sugilite

Sugilite is a stone that I often think of when I think of heart energy, however I have placed it here as a stone that most useful to our third eye. Part of how we see ourselves is created within our vision. The very deepest part of how we see ourselves is just a repetitive pattern that we have learned from intuiting how others see us. Sugilite brings this to the surface for us to look at how others see us and how that relates to who we actually are.
Often times we get caught up in being the person that others expect us to be. We become the good student, the exemplary employee, the faithful wife, the loyal husband and we have not even thought about what the belief structures are that are supporting these aspects of ourselves. Sugilite asks us to not only look at the belief structures that support all of the different people that we are, but also it asks us to start the process of bringing all of the different aspects together working in sync and allowing us to be who we came her to be.
